DIVERSIFIED
Diversified Chiropractic Technique or DCT, is considered the most common chiropractic corrective technique and is characterized by a specific high-velocity, low-amplitude motion over restricted joints to restore proper movement and alignment of the spine and remove to interference to the central nervous system.
THOMPSON DROP
The Thompson Drop uses a drop table to enhance the motion of an area to be adjusted. The chiropractor applies a quick thrust at the same time the section drops. It allows the Doctor to safely, specifically, and comfortably adjust the joints of the body. The dropping of the table allows for a lighter adjustment without the twisting positions that can accompany others.
THE ACTIVATOR METHOD
The Activator Method is a gentle, low-force approach to chiropractic care that uses a small handheld sping-loaded instrument to deliver a small impulse to the problem joint. The technique has been used safely on patients of all ages since the late 1960's, bringing relief to people with a variety of health concerns.
EXTREMITY ADJUSTING
Many people have complaints of knee, shoulder, hip, or wrist pain that can often be associated with decreased mobility with it. Adjusting the joint restrictions in these areas can often be a great approach to aiding in these symptoms and conditions. Chiropractic care extends far and beyond just the spine!
NON-SURGICAL SPINAL DECOMPRESSION
Treatment for back pain is often medication and physical therapy. When these treatments fail, unfortunately surgery often becomes the next course of treatment. Research has shown that an estimated 8 million unnecessary back surgeries are performed a year. The unfortunate thing for many patients is that they would often benefit from chiropractic care and non-surgical spinal decompression therapy.
DIGITAL X-RAY
We have one of the most advanced imaging systems currently on the market as part of our cutting-edge digital x-ray service. The x-rays collected here give us a clear picture of the spine's wear and tear, and help direct us on the best course of treatment for our patients.

CUPPING
Ever since people started to see the markings from cupping on athlete’s shoulders and backs in the 2004 Olympics, therapeutic cupping has exploded onto the scene. However, cupping methods have been around for a very long time that stemmed from ancient Chinese medicine and maybe even before.
At Legacy Spine and Sport, we utilize many types of cups as well as different methods of using them based on the needs of the patient. We use cupping to decompress tissues to increase blood floor, increase mobility, and decrease friction between tissues to aid in the recovery process.
INSTRUMENT ASSISTED SOFT TISSUE (IASTM) - BLADING
IASTM is a great therapy that can aid in the recovery process as well. We use different techniques to either activate or relax certain muscles and nerves. When using instruments on a patient, we are looking to increase superficial blood flow to the area of concern to increase the speed of recovery.
MANUAL THERAPY
Not the same as massage therapy, but a similar philosophy to the practice, manual therapy techniques utilize the doctors hands and active movement to help diminish the presence of trigger points and tissue adhesions that may be causing pain or mobility and range of motion restrictions.
