Our Mission

Legacy Spine and Sport was created for that exact reason, to change people’s lives! In a world where pain and dysfunction spreads like wildfire, people are struggling with their everyday activities when they shouldn’t have to. The little things in life mean the most and we often lose sight of the importance of performing well at our jobs, sports, or academics, being able to play with our kids or grandkids, being able to recover properly through good sleep, or having the confidence to take control of your life again. Legacy Spine and Sport is here to be a partner in your life and help you achieve the goals you have through quality evidence-based chiropractic care, education, and inspiration. We cannot wait to help!

About Chiropractic

Chiropractic care is an essential cornerstone to a person’s health and well-being and many people dismiss it as only being useful for neck and back pain. The care given at Legacy Spine and Sport is there to treat a wide variety of conditions including headaches and migraines, extremity pain such as knees, hips, shoulders, and wrists, sports injuries, muscle soreness, chronic aches, and many many more.

Chiropractic is way more than pain relief, however. It has been shown to help with pregnancy, vertigo, sleep disturbances, digestive issues, and so much more. Chiropractic care is utilized to keep you thriving and being able to maintain the life you want to live.

About Me

Dr. Colby Kasten is originally from Reedsville, Wisconsin. He attended UW-Oshkosh where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree of Kinesiology with an emphasis in Strength and Conditioning. After his undergraduate degree, Dr. Colby obtained his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification and worked as a sport performance specialist where he trained athletes from eight years old to Olympic medalists. While training athletes, he also worked as the lead Wellness Professional at Thrivent Financial in Appleton.

It was during this time that Dr. Colby was first introduced to chiropractic care. A lower back injury that prevented him from being able to demonstrate and train his athletes and clients the way he wanted, led him to chiropractic care. The care he received did more than help his pain. It allowed him to sleep better, feel more energetic, lessen allergy symptoms, and improve his performance within the gym. The thought of pursuing a master’s degree was dismissed and he chose to continue his education within chiropractic because of his results.

Dr. Colby attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA, where chiropractic was founded. During his time at Palmer, Dr. Colby worked within the Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation department. He was a personal trainer, as well as the Vice President of the Sports Chiropractic Club. He practices hands-on chiropractic techniques such as Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson and the McKenzie method. He is also skilled within extremity adjusting, instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation, myofascial manual release, cupping, taping, and the rehabilitation and management of athletic injuries.

Growing up an athlete and directly working and training athletes as a career, Dr. Colby continues to have a passion for performance, rehabilitation of injuries, and helping those achieve the goals they pursue. To him, chiropractic care is so much more than just pain relief. By impacting the nervous system, muscular system, and the mobility and stability of joints, pain and dysfunction can diminish and strength, speed, power, and overall performance can increase. Dr. Colby's vision, regardless of who you are, is to help you achieve your individual goals. The best part of the chiropractic profession, in his eyes, is the personal relationships created and the impact he has on people’s lives; physically, mentally, and emotionally. And that is what stemmed the creation of Legacy Spine and Sport!

Outside of the office, Dr. Colby loves spending time with his wife Breana, family, and friends. He is a die-hard fan of the Packers, where he can be found attending many games. Though an avid fan of all sports, Dr. Colby especially tunes into the Badgers, Bucks, and Blackhawks. Dr. Kasten has many hobbies in his free time including working out, golfing, hiking, fishing, and traveling!
